A place with high expectations

Netpower Business Solutions is a relatively small organisation with big ambitions. We have high expectations for what we deliver – and for the people we work with. Everyone here is expected to get involved, take initiative and help drive the work forward.

You don’t need to know everything from the start. With us, the ability to learn matters more than what you know today. What matters most is that you can lead your own work and take ownership of your own professional development.

At Netpower Business Solutions you get:

  • A great deal of trust and the freedom to take responsibility
  • Continuous opportunities to learn and develop
  • Knowledgeable colleagues who both challenge and support you
  • A culture where initiative counts for more than job title

From product development to customer delivery: Our roles

At Netpower Business Solutions, technologists, subject matter experts and commercial roles work together to develop, sell and deliver software to organisations with complex needs.

Product management, sales, marketing and customer delivery are based at the head office, while development happens in close collaboration with our international development teams.

Our roles fall into three main areas:

Product

The product teams are responsible for the development, further development and technical maintenance of our software products. These are technical roles working with architecture, functionality, integrations and leading development teams.

The teams develop both product improvements that create value for the whole customer base, and custom functionality for individual customers. That requires us to balance long-term product development with the concrete needs of our customers.

Customer delivery and advisory services

Our advisory roles combine product knowledge with subject matter and domain expertise in areas such as quality, HSE, chemical management and project management. They map out the customer’s needs, configure the solution, lead the implementation and help the customer put the product to use in a way that works for their organisation.

Sales

Our salespeople need to understand the products, the subject areas and the organisations we sell to. They identify needs, see what opportunities the products offer and bring in the right expertise from the product and delivery teams throughout the sales process. The role calls for someone who can drive the process forward while knowing when to involve others.

The three disciplines depend on each other

The sales and delivery teams bring in insight about the market and the customers, while the product teams turn needs and opportunities into further development. Together, we make sure we develop good products, find the right customers and create value after the deal is signed.

Innovation as everyday work

We are a flat organisation where the initiative you take matters more than the job title you hold. We work with a start-up mentality where new initiatives can move quickly from idea to action, and everyone is expected to contribute to the development of the company.

At any given time we are working in parallel on several initiatives – from further developing established products that have been on the market for 15 years, to launching entirely new applications for subject areas we have not worked with before. That means priorities can change, and that we constantly have to pick up new knowledge and find new ways to solve problems.

We are a small team, and many people work across products, subject areas and teams. That brings a lot of variety and a real chance to make an impact, but it also requires you to be flexible, take the initiative and be comfortable finding your way as we go.

AI and efficiency are part of the job

If you want to work at a technology company like ours, we expect you to have embraced the opportunities AI offers.

Every employee is responsible for finding out how AI and automation can improve their own work. That might mean automating manual tasks, developing your own work processes, gathering and structuring insight, or setting up agents that carry out defined tasks. The goal is to spend less time on routine work and more time on tasks that require professional judgement, creativity and human understanding.

Our ambition is to be among the leaders in the use of AI. That requires everyone to explore new tools and continuously develop the way they work – to work more efficiently and deliver higher quality. This applies to every role in the company, not just developers and others with technical responsibilities.

Solutions for organisations with high standards

Our products are used in sectors including:

Oil and energy Health Research and education Public sector Transport Industry Construction and real estate

What our customers have in common is that our solutions support critical work processes and are built to work in large, complex organisations.

Rumana Islam Netpower

Rumana, Solution Consultant

What I like most about working at Netpower is the opportunity to learn, grow, and take responsibility in exciting customer projects. I enjoy building smart solutions with Microsoft 365, the Power Platform, and analytics to simplify everyday work.

The culture is supportive and open, and you can always ask questions. The multicultural team makes working here both fun and motivating.

Simen Sollie Netpower

Simen, Product Manager

The best thing about working at Netpower is that I get to influence things while constantly learning and developing. With a flat structure and a lot of trust, I can take responsibility and work closely with both customers and colleagues to create good solutions.

The pace is high and things change quickly, which I think makes the working day both interesting and motivating. By saying yes to new challenges I have had the chance to try several roles, first as Project Manager and now as Product Manager.

Audhild Smith-Bergtun Netpower

Audhild, adviser for Certain QMS

Netpower is a unique company and I am very happy here. With a background as a QHSE Engineer, QHSE Coordinator and Environmental Advisor in the oil industry, Netpower has given me the chance both to learn more about IT systems and to provide HSEQ (health, safety, environment and quality) advice to the company’s many and varied customers across different industries.

I have also been part of developing Certain QMS, Netpower’s quality management system.

I love IT

Never stop learning

At Netpower Business Solutions we believe the ability to learn matters more than what you know today. New technologies, new ways of working and new challenges are a natural part of everyday life in the IT industry, and we expect our people to be curious enough to explore them and self-driven enough to put them to use.

You get a lot of freedom, but also a lot of responsibility. We are not an organisation with detailed recipes or close day-to-day supervision. We are looking for people who take the initiative, seek out knowledge on their own and find solutions when they meet something they have not done before.

If you are motivated by continuous learning, high expectations and the chance to make a difference, we think you will enjoy working with us.
