Extra development capacity when Inspectio needed it
When Inspectio needed additional development expertise to take its digital solution further, it strengthened its development team with an experienced developer from Netpower.

Netpower has delivered:
IT expertise when it is needed
Inspectio is a software company that delivers digital Ex inspection and field inspection for technical environments. The company helps offshore operators and onshore industry ensure compliance and protect equipment integrity through clear workflows and data-driven checklists.
When the company needed to strengthen its development work for a period, it chose to bring in expertise from Netpower’s in-house development team. Developer Cephas Elison Jonsson joined Inspectio’s development team and helped optimise and further develop the company’s web portal and mobile app.
– I joined the project at a time when Inspectio wanted to strengthen the team with extra development expertise. They needed experience with .NET, and that is where I could contribute from the start, says Jonsson.
Close collaboration delivered good results
When Jonsson started on the project, the main focus was optimising the performance and stability of Inspectio’s web portal. The portal collects and presents large amounts of data from users out in the field, so it was important that the solution was both fast and reliable.
– Much of the work on the portal was about making the data load faster and keeping operations running smoothly, says Jonsson.
The work combined technical improvements and troubleshooting, while Jonsson also took part in planning and prioritising further development. Using agile methods, with two-week sprints and daily stand-ups, the team focused on continuous improvement and close dialogue.
As the project progressed, Jonsson also took on a larger share of the work on the mobile app, which at the time was built in Xamarin and is used by inspectors offshore. The app had to work without network access and synchronise data securely once the connection was restored. This was a technical challenge that required both precision and a good understanding of the system architecture.

– The mobile app was complex, as it has to work offline offshore and then synchronise afterwards. I did a lot of work to make sure this process was stable and secure, says Jonsson.
Throughout the project he also worked on UI improvements, maintenance and the development of new features, all in close collaboration with Inspectio’s in-house team.
– Even though I never met the Inspectio team in person, the collaboration was incredibly good. They were always on hand and available to discuss solutions. So far it has been one of my favourite projects to work on, says Jonsson.
Flexible access to development expertise
For Inspectio, the collaboration made it possible to strengthen the development team quickly with relevant expertise, while adjusting the scope as the project’s needs changed.
The benefits included:
- Fast access to relevant IT expertise
- Flexibility in scope and duration
- The option to adjust the support to the project’s needs
– The biggest advantage was that Inspectio got fast access to expertise. I could contribute to the project from day one. Over time the need changed, and we adjusted the scope of the support accordingly. That gave both parties a great deal of flexibility, says Jonsson.
The project ended in the summer of 2023, after eighteen months of close collaboration. For Inspectio, it was a way to strengthen its own development team with expertise from Netpower’s in-house development team at a time when the need was greatest.
Inspectio CEO Egil Brekke highlights in particular how quickly Netpower could provide relevant expertise:
– We needed more capacity fast and chose Netpower because of the way they work with their clients. When Cephas joined the team, he delivered value in days, not weeks, which was critical for us. More than once since then we have thought, “we could do with Cephas again right now”.
