About Netpower

From internet access to software

Netpower is a Norwegian-owned IT company with its head office at Stokkamyrveien 13 in Stavanger.

The company was founded by local entrepreneurs in 1995 and originally supplied internet access to the business market — hence the name Netpower. Over the years we have delivered a wide range of IT services, and today we are established as a supplier of line-of-business systems, custom software and IT operations.

With extensive experience in building line-of-business and enterprise systems, we are a delivery partner for organisations that want to renew or improve their IT systems and digital working tools.

One group in Stavanger with three specialist IT companies: business systems, custom software and secure operations from our own data centre. More than 40 people in Business Solutions, more than 30 in WEB Solutions and more than 15 in IT Solutions.

Each company stands on its own in its field, tied together by shared operations, a shared professional community and one owner. You get a single accountable partner.

Owner and leadership

Netpower IT Group is privately owned. Erlend Bruvik has owned Netpower since 2006 and is the owner and chair of the board. Each of the three companies has its own CEO: Morten Andre Hjelle at Business Solutions, Adi Bojcic at WEB Solutions and Erlend Arnøy at IT Solutions.

Who are we at Netpower?

Netpower IT Group is more than 120 colleagues in three companies, including over 80 software engineers – advisers, designers, project managers and operations engineers working closely on complex customer assignments.

You will find solution architects, software developers, product developers, designers, project managers, subject matter experts, system consultants and operations consultants here. That lets us follow an assignment from idea to running it in our own data centre.

Not a consultancy

Netpower stands apart from most other IT suppliers in the region in one important way: we are not a consultancy.

Each company is led by people who build and run the solutions themselves. You meet the same people over time, not hired-in consultants who are swapped out after the project.

One of our greatest strengths is that we are gathered under one roof. Everyone at Netpower is based at our own office, surrounded by a strong professional community. We believe the best way to stay competitive is to make sure all our disciplines work closely together and keep building on our shared expertise.

Our clients see that both sides benefit from this model, and as an employer it matters a great deal to us to have our people together in our own premises.

That strength is what puts us in a position to deliver large, complex projects.

Long-term customer relationships

Although we work project by project, our customer relationships tend to last. The collaboration often continues for many years through the maintenance and further development of the solutions we have delivered.

That gives us the chance to follow our customers closely, understand their business needs and be an important partner over time.
